It's that time of year already.......costumes, recital, tickets, re-registration…all the fun stuff.....Below are the important dates and information you will need to know.....

Recital Rehearsal Music Orders are due!

In order to make rehearsing for recital easier, we are offering to make each student a personal CD or emailed ITunes download for $10, containing the song(s) they will do in the recital. The Song(s) on their CD will be the actual versions, speeds and the lengths that will be in our show. (Most numbers have been edited for length, content, and speed). This is not required, but it allows them to rehearse on their own and it's amazing the difference it makes in their final performance.  For more details or to order your CD or receive your ITunes download, see the ArtsYOU office with your order form, or download an order form online at www.ArtsYOUniversity.com then click on Recital. Please hand in your order form ASAP.

Spring  Show Ticket Sales

Listed below are the Ticket Purchase days/times for all upcoming shows this Spring at Arts YOU. The order in which you registered for Arts YOU season 2008 - 2009 is the order in which you are given a private appt. time to purchase your Recital tickets. If you are unable to make your appt. time you may send anyone to represent and purchase your tickets for you or the office staff can purchase for you at your given time based on best available in the area that you would like your seats. 

Tickets sale dates for all Spring shows are as follows: Appt. times are posted on the studio bulletin board by last name in alphabetical order.

Little Rhythms Recital Families: Saturday, April 18th 3 - 6:30pm.... By Appt. Only

Acting Festival Families: Tuesday, April 21st 5pm

Company Families: Wednesday, April 22nd 6:30pm... By Appt. Only

June 13th Recital Families: Saturday, April 25th and May 2.... 12-7pm By Appt. Only

Voice and Show Choir Recital Families: Tuesday, June 2nd 5pm

Reminder on Ticket Requirements:

Little Rhythms 4 Ticket minimum...6 Ticket Maximum

June 13th Recital 6 Ticket minimum....no max

Costume/Tight Distribution

The week of April 13th, we will begin to distribute all costumes and tights during your child's regular class time. During class all children will be trying on their costumes to ensure proper fit.  Parents are required to pick up costumes and ensure they get home and are safely put away. No costumes will be given to any students to take home. Please bring one hanger for each costume and a garment bag in case of rain.  The responsibility then turns to the parents to make any minor alterations that are necessary for the recital.

All tights will be distributed with costumes that week as well....Tights have been billed to all families' accounts back in the fall.  If in the event that they were not paid for they must be paid in order to take home your child's costume(s).  All tights are $10. and must be purchased through Arts YOU to ensure color and style for each student matches. Susanne/Dottie will review what tights and shoes are needed for each class during Costume Distribution week and you will also receive an email with these notes.  This will also be on the website on the Tight/Shoe requirement Sheet on the Recital Page for more details.

Recital Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in volunteering to be a Working Parent or Usher for either of this year's Recitals-please see the sign up on the Arts YOU bulliten board. We need working parents, men and women, to work backstage and ushers to seat audience members and pass out programs.  When signing up please specify which show you would like to work and which job you are interested in doing. If you are an usher you DO NOT need to buy a ticket for that show and will be required to be at the theater one hour before show time.  If working backstage you also do not need to buy a ticket for that show and are able to watch your child's dances from the back of the theater.

 If you are needed for a working parent job or usher position there will be a list posted in Mid May and a MANDATORY Backstage Parent Meeting on Monday, June 1st from 7-7:30pm at Arts YOU for all NEW volunteers.

Student Recital Packet Distribution

When your studio family account is settled, each family will receive their tickets and their Student Recital Packet. We ask that each family please settle their accounts by June 1st, 2009.  This packet will include a detailed schedule of the Little Rhythms and RHS Theater Dress Rehearsals and Recital Day. There will also be details on Hair and Makeup requirements, Theater Policies including parking, dressing rooms assignments, and student drop-off and pick-up procedures. Please note that any accounts not settled before Dress Rehearsal of each show will not be permitted to participate in the shows.

Recital Photo Day

Arts YOU is proud to offer David Male Photography on Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th, during Dress Rehearsals, as this year's Solo Portrait Recital Photographer. . Appointments are available on a first come/ first serve basis at the office.  Please see the Pink form detailing Packages/Pricing available at the office for more details.

Registration 2009 - 2010

Arts YOU's Schedule for it's 2009 - 2010 season is now officially announced.  Re-Registration for Arts YOU Families ONLY, 2009 - 2010, will begin on Monday, May 18th  at 12 noon IN PERSON and BY FAX only until Friday, May 22nd.  Please note that the order in which you register will be the order in which you are able to purchase your 2009 -2010 Recital Tickets, also this first week of re-registration is reserved for current Arts YOUniversity students only.  All classes will be closed once full and waiting lists will be started. New Families and any other Registrations will also be accepted online at www.ArtsYOUniversity.com, by fax, with payment by credit card, at 609-586-3105 and any other day during regular office hours, Monday-Friday from 4-9pm and Saturdays 9:30-4pm after May 25th.

Recital T-Shirts

This year's Recital T-shirt will be a Baby Doll Tee available in Children's sizes small-xlarge and Adult sizes small-xlarge.

Beautifully designed and created by Joe and Jordana Grosso in the theme of this year's closing musical, Hairspray.

They will be available for purchase in early June for $15.

Recital Program Ad Book

We offer the opportunity to purchase “Well-wisher” and commercial ads in our Recital Programs. All students have the opportunity to purchase and sell ads, but participation is not required. Our recital audience is generally around 2000 guests. For exact sizes for ad submissions, please email us ArtsYOUniversity@aol.com.
