Financial...
- The registration/insurance fee is $25.00 per student or $40.00 per family.
- There must be a valid credit card on file for each student or cash equal to one months tuition.
- In order to receive the EARLY PAYMENT DISCOUNT, tuition must be received by the 10th of each month and students must be taking 2 or more classes. ***Acting & Vocal Coaching are not eligible for the discount.***
- If tuition is not paid by the end of any given month,your child/children may not return to class until your account is settled.
- Tuition can be paid for via check, cash, visa or mastercard.
- Automatic payment can be set up with a visa or mastercard.
- There will be a $50.00 fee added to all bounced checks.
- Each costume is $80. IF paid for by November 14th. If paid for after November 14th, each costume is $100.00.
- No costumes will be ordered after March 1st.
- Each family is required to purchase a minimum of 6 tickets for the June recital.
- Single class payments will only be accepted for new registrations starting mid month. New registrations are required to pay the following months and June tuition in full.
- June's tuition is due, along with the tuition of the month student is beginning, upon registration and not refundable or transferable.
- The order in which you register is the order in which you can buy tickets for the recital.
- There are no refunds or transfers of money of any kind.
Classes...
- Students must take a technique class (Ballet, jazz, or modern) in order to take any other dance class.
- Students wanting a private, either dance, voice, acting or piano will go on a private contract and will buy a certain time slot for three month increments at the beginning of each session. Please see the Private Contract for specific policies regarding private lessons. There are no makeups or refunds for missed private lessons due to any reason.
- Students must have a costume to participate in the show.
- Students must take classes in the level appropriate for their age. Only on rare occasions will a student be moved to a different level, which will be done only by the Arts YOUniversity staff.
- If dropping or changing a class, you must fill out a drop/change form and give to the office, or you will still be responsible for paying tuition for that class for that month.
- Each class is only open to a certain number of students. In order to hold your students position in the class, Septembers tuition and registration fee must be paid. Once a class is full, a waiting list will be started.
- Makeup classes are available during another class of that same style & level. Pink makeup slips can be obtained from your child's teacher.
- Students may miss each class 8 times throughout the year. Students missing more than 8 classes may not be permitted to perform with that class in the recital.
Dress Code...
Dancers are expected to look like dancers. Hair and dress apparel are to be neat when entering the studio. No necklaces, bracelets or large hoop earrings are to be worn during class. In addition to dress code, we expect our dancers to come to class free from any tattoos, drawings, or other noticeable marks on their body that are visible to the public eye. This includes ink markings on dancers' hands and arms. Arts YOUniversity uniforms are the only clothes that may be worn to dance class. Non-affiliated studio attire is not to be worn in the classroom. The following guidelines will be enforced for specific dance classes. Dancers will not be permitted to participate in class unless the following dress requirements are met.
* Upon registration, all level I, II, III, IV, V & Co. students are required to purchase at least one set of the Arts YOU uniform as required below...
- Creative Movement & Beginners - ANY Leotard & tights, white ballet & white tie tap shoes. - Ballet - Hair pulled back into a bun cover, Arts You black leotard, Arts You pink tights and pink, leather ballet shoes. - Jazz/Musical Theater/Modern - Hair pulled back into a bun cover, Arts You black leotard, Arts You black jazz pants and tan slip-on jazz shoes. - Tap - Same as Jazz and tan OR black tap shoes. (TAN flat for levels I & II and BLACK flat for levels III, IV, V & Co.) - Hip Hop - Arts You Jazz pants, Arts You t-shirt AND Arts You leotard and black dance sneakers. - Pointe - Same as ballet with proper pointe shoes to be approved by instructor. - Acting/ Vocal Coaching/ Zumba/ Yoga - Comfortable, loose fitting clothes.
Studio...
- No food, drinks or gum in the studio except water and dry snacks.
- No street shoes or jewelry in the studios.
- Arts YOUniversity is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- Parents may only use observation windows on designated days.
- There are no credits for missed classes.
- Staff is available for parent conferences by appointment only.
- Students left at the studio for more than 15 minutes after their final class of the night, will be charged at a rate of $1.00 per minute until picked up by parent or guardian.
Student and Visitor Etiquette
If at any time you wish to speak with an instructor, please leave a message with the office staff and the Artistic Directors, Michael or Susanne, will call you. Our goal is to provide a fun, challenging & educational dance experience. If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Enter the studio respectfully and quietly.
- Visitors are accepted on a first come, first serve basis as all visitors who remain in the lobby throughout a dance class must be seated in the lobby.
- Be on time!
- No water, food or gum is allowed on the dance floor.
- Please call Arts You to inform your instructor of any absence from a class.
- Parents are not permitted to confer with Arts YOU instructors during or between classes. Please speak with the front desk or call to schedule a conference.
- Parents and dancers will not openly critique any dancer during class time.
- Students will carefully follow the dress code guidelines.
- Students and parents will carefully follow the tuition guidelines.
- Attendance at all stage and dress rehearsals during performance week(s) is required by all Students who wish to perform in any Arts You performance.
- Be respectful to Arts YOUniversity instructors, peers and visitors.
I have read, understand and agree to practice the policies of the Arts YOUniversity. Furthermore, dancing, singing, and acting are potentially injurious activities and therefore release the Arts YOUniversity of any responsibility in regards to physical injuries to my children during class or any other activity they participate in with the Arts YOUniversity.
